Dress for Success is part of a global movement for change. While the organization offers business attire for women in need, it is much more than just a new outfit. The ever-expanding network is an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing them with the support, professional attire and the tools they need to thrive both personally and professionally. By offering long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty, they enable women to obtain safer, better, and happier futures.
Women remain less likely to participate in the labor market than men around the world. Since it was founded in 1997, Dress for Success has served over 1.2 million low-income women and has helped close these gender gaps and empower mothers, daughters, and sisters everywhere to thrive!
With more than 150 offices worldwide, Dress for Success is much more than clothes. The non-profit accepts professional attire donations to equip women with ready-to-go workwear. By offering mentorships, workshops, networking opportunities, career coaching and mock interviews, the organization helps women to find jobs, excel at them, and achieve economic independence. With global unemployment rates on the rise due to Covid-19, its mission is more important now than ever. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, more than 700 thousand jobs were eliminated in the United States due to the pandemic, with nearly 60 percent of women accounting for them.

Remember: When women work, economies grow. Addressing women’s basic needs is not just crucial to improving the quality of life for that woman, but also for her family, future generations, and her community as well. You can be the change you want to see in the world, one bouquet at a time.
